Cornwell Manor Exclusive Wedding & Event Hire Rates

NB: all rental prices subject to VAT @ 20%
This includes:

  • Accommodation for up to 24 people in the house (in 12 double bedrooms) for 3 nights at a weekend. Please note there is no access to the main house for non-resident guests
  • Full breakfast each morning for all house guests served for 2 hours
  • A daily morning housekeeping service
  • 100 Acre bathroom products in each bathroom
  • Use of the Ballroom for all guests
  • Use of the Manor gardens
  • Use of a heated swimming pool
  • Ground rent for marquee hire for up to 200 people
  • Late licence until 1am for music and alcohol on Friday and Saturday nights
  • Use of a grass paddock for parking for up to 80 cars – please note in wet weather you may need to hire trackway
  • Extra nights are charged at £4,500 + VAT for 2024 and £4,750 + VAT for 2025 for Sunday or Wednesday either side of your booking, to include breakfast
  • Extra days for marquee build are subject to agreement at £1,500 + VAT for 2024 and £2,000 + VAT for 2025

This does not include:

  • An event manager / co-ordinator for the weekend and wedding day itself which is required for all wedding and event bookings
  • Marquee and furniture hire, generator and loo hire which is required for all wedding and event bookings
  • Event catering or any food and beverages in the house
  • Any additional in-house catering, charged at a price per head according to requirements, pre-arranged and pre-paid
  • Glamping for up to 26 people may be arranged at a ground rent of £5,000.
  • This does not include the cost of the tents or shower and loo hire
  • Please note there is an additional charge of £3,250 + VAT for 2024 and £3,750 + VAT for 2025 for events with over 200 guests (capped at 300 guests)

We ask that you choose from one of our preferred event caterers:
Ross and Ross Events, The Kingham Plough, Lettice Events, Quince and Clover, Reeka Events or Salsa Rose and that you use the Cornwell Manor wine list for your drinks reception and wedding breakfast.

We work with several trusted marquee suppliers covering a range of styles and budgets to suit you, please ask for introductions.
We can also suggest event managers and wedding planners or tried and tested suppliers for everything from florists to make-up artists, once you have made you booking.

General Guidelines for Weddings and Events at Cornwell Manor

Cornwell Manor is a family home that we open for exclusive private hire for weddings and events during the summer months. All bookings are generally for 3-day weekend hire, from noon on Thursday to 5pm on Sunday unless otherwise requested.

Whilst we do have live-in staff to cater for breakfasts and housekeeping, it is not a hotel experience, rather a relaxed “home-away-from-home” feel.

The house sleeps up to 24 people in 12 bedrooms and is for the resident guests only: there is no access to the main house for your additional wedding guests, however the Ballroom is accessible for all guests.

We are licenced to allow alcohol service and music until 1am in the Ballroom or in a marquee in the grounds. We ask that you use our recommended production company to manage your sound levels and are mindful of our local residents and wildlife, not exceeding the levels set out in your contract.

We are delighted to be working with the following preferred caterers and ask that you to choose from this list for your wedding catering. We would be happy to suggest less formal alternatives for the days around your wedding day.

We are happy to put you in touch with any of the above for an initial quote or to see some sample menus and pricing. Your evening bar will generally be organised by your caterer and we ask that you use our Cornwell Manor wine list for the wedding day, alternatively there is a corkage option.

The wedding reception will take place in the gardens with hire of a marquee a necessity for dining if you are not using the Ballroom.

We ask that you hire a wedding planner or co-ordinator for the weekend (until the non-resident guests have departed on the wedding evening), to manage logistics, deliveries, scheduling, collections and installations. Charlotte is very happy to suggest tried and tested people for this role should you wish.

Ceremonies: Cornwell Manor is licensed for civil weddings as well as having a small Church onsite:

1. St Peter’s Church: approx. 200m from the house, this pretty Church of England chapel can accommodate up to 80 guests. Please note for church weddings you must adhere to the strict guidelines with regard to establishing a qualifying connection with this parish. There is a fee of £250 + VAT for all church weddings, in addition to any fees directly payable to the church. A blessing is an alternative option, following a legal wedding ceremony with a registrar. There are larger local churches available as well – please ask Charlotte for details.

2. The Fountain: an open-air option suitable for a registrar or celebrant-led ceremony, situated next to the croquet lawn in front of the house. In case of rain, we recommend you hire an A-Frame roof structure to cover this area, whilst still retaining an “al fresco” feel. Charlotte can direct you to the relevant supplier for this.

3. The Ballroom: suitable for a registrar or celebrant-led ceremony seating up to 100 guests. Please note it is hired empty and you are required to hire your own furniture to suit your event.

3. The Ballroom Walled Garden: an open-air option suitable for a registrar or celebrant-led ceremony in a private enclosed garden adjacent to the Ballroom. We recommend you hire a stretch tent to cover this area in case of rain.
