Cornwell Manor Exclusive Wedding & Event Hire Rates

NB: all rental prices subject to VAT @ 20%
This includes:

  • Accommodation for up to 24 people in the house (in 12 double bedrooms) for 3 nights at a weekend. Please note there is no access to the main house for non-resident guests
  • Full breakfast each morning for all house guests served for 2 hours
  • A daily morning housekeeping service
  • 100 Acre bathroom products in each bathroom
  • Use of the Ballroom for all guests
  • Use of the Manor gardens
  • Use of a heated swimming pool
  • Ground rent for marquee hire for up to 200 people
  • Late licence until 1am for music and alcohol on Friday and Saturday nights
  • Use of a grass paddock for parking for up to 80 cars – please note in wet weather you may need to hire trackway
  • Extra nights are charged at £4,250 + VAT (for 2023) and £4,500 + VAT (for 2024) for Sunday or Wednesday either side of your booking, to include breakfast
  • Extra days for marquee build are subject to agreement at £1,500 + VAT

This does not include:

  • An event manager / co-ordinator for the weekend and wedding day itself which is required for all wedding and event bookings
  • Marquee and furniture hire, generator and loo hire which is required for all wedding and event bookings
  • Event catering or any food and beverages in the house
  • Any additional in-house catering, charged at a price per head according to requirements, pre-arranged and pre-paid
  • Glamping for up to 26 people may be arranged at a ground rent of £5,000.
  • This does not include the cost of the tents or shower and loo hire
  • Please note there is an additional charge of £3,250 + VAT for events with over 200 guests (capped at 300 guests)

We ask that you choose from one of our preferred event caterers:
Ross and Ross Events, The Kingham Plough or Quince and Clover
and that you use the Cornwell Manor wine list for your drinks reception and wedding breakfast.

We work with several trusted marquee suppliers covering a range of styles and budgets to suit you, please ask for introductions.
We can also suggest event managers and wedding planners or tried and tested suppliers for everything from florists to make-up artists, once you have made you booking.

General Guidelines for Weddings and Events at Cornwell Manor

Cornwell Manor is a private home that we rent out for a few months during the summer for weddings, events or whole house takeovers, between June and the end of September. All bookings are from noon on Thursday to 5pm on Sunday unless otherwise specified.

Whilst we do have live-in staff to cater for breakfasts and housekeeping, it is not a hotel experience, more relaxed with a home-away-from-home feel.

We are licenced to serve alcohol and play music until 1am in the Ballroom or in a marquee but do ask that you be mindful of our local residents and wildlife and do not exceed this time limit or the volume levels set out in your contract of hire.

Your evening bar will generally be organised by your caterers; we do ask that you use our Cornwell Manor wine list for the wedding reception and wedding breakfast.

The house sleeps up to 24 people in 12 bedrooms and is for the resident guests only, there is no access to the house for non-resident guests.

The wedding reception will take place in the gardens with hire of a marquee a necessity for dining if you are not using the Ballroom.

Ceremonies:

There are three options for your wedding ceremony at Cornwell Manor:

St Peter’s Church can accommodate up to 80 guests. Please note for Church weddings you must adhere to the strict guidelines set out by the Church of England with regard to establishing a qualifying connection with this parish. There is a fee of £250 + VAT for all church weddings, in addition to any fees directly payable to the Church.

The Ballroom is licenced for civil ceremonies, which can seat up to 100 guests. (Please note it is hired empty and you are required to hire your own furniture to suit your event).

An outdoor ceremony by the fountain on the croquet lawn or in the Ballroom walled garden, capacity 200.

 

Finally, our rates do not include a wedding planner or co-ordinator for the day which we ask that you have.
