Cornwell Manor is probably one of the most romantic places in England to be married, and the bliss is you can have it exclusively to yourself. This exquisite Georgian fronted manor is a photographer’s dream, where every aspect is a delight, providing you with the perfect backdrop for your wedding and creating memories for a lifetime. It is available for exclusive hire for a minimum of 3 days over a weekend, between June and the end of September

There are a number of ways to celebrate your wedding at Cornwell Manor: whether it be an intimate ceremony in the Ballroom followed by a lavish dinner,  a church wedding with a pretty flower filled marquee on the croquet lawn or an outdoor ceremony in the gardens, followed by a party in the field overlooking the lake, dancing the night away.

A wedding at Cornwell is bespoke to you, tailored to your vision.

A note on fireworks:
Whilst many people enquire after the possibility of having a fireworks display as an act of celebration of their marriage, we would like to state that we enforce a strict no fireworks policy within the gardens and grounds of Cornwell Manor.

This is to avoid further disturbance to our ever patient neighbours as well as the harmful chemical effects it brings to the environment and wildlife, not to mention the immense noise pollution caused by continuous loud and spontaneous bangs during hours of darkness that can incite flight response and disorientation in birds and animals.

In the same vein we ask that there is no live or recorded music played “open air” after 10pm on any day – music may only be played inside a marquee or inside the ballroom between 10pm and 1am.

Please respect and understand our decision.

The Ceremony

The Church

The pretty Norman Church of St Peter’s is less than 200 metres from the Manor and accommodates 80 people. There are other bigger churches available in Kingham, Churchill and Chipping Norton, all within a 10 minute drive of Cornwell.

Garden Ceremony

Garden ceremonies have now been legalised meaning it is possible to have an outdoor non-religious blessing anywhere in the gardens.

The Ballroom

The Ballroom offers a perfect elegant space for civil ceremonies, with space to seat up to 100 guests.

The Reception

The Drinks Reception

What better place to celebrate your marriage than the terrace overlooking the lakes and the rolling Cotswold countryside beyond. A formal garden with symmetrical Portuguese Laurels and a statue of a fiddler is the perfect setting for a Champagne and canapé reception

The Marquee or Teepee

From the Manor, follow the stone steps down through the topiary to the fountain and Italianate water garden. Here you have a splendid setting for your marquee wedding breakfast. For larger weddings we suggest using the Park overlooking the house and the lakes.

Sunday

The Sunday Relax by the Pool

Relax….breakfast is at your leisure, whenever and wherever you would like it. Why not have a poolside brunch party for that final goodbye…….we can arrange it, just let us know. No rush, check out is at 5pm.
